and a mechanical dance partner

I turned a building into a harp

and played Saturn’s rings 

like a vinyl record.

I have an insatiable curiosity for every medium in this world

and how they can tell stories

stories 

to make the complex, big, and far away

comprehensible,  empathetic, and immediate

a story about urban dysfunction, tech giants, and filter bubble

a story about hyper consumerism, data privacy, and cardboard boxes

a story about the Inuit people, Neodymium for Teslas, 

and the thunderous portrait of an iceberg

And a story about saying “I miss you” in our interplanetary future

across vast time and space

when the answer to

"how many kilometers"

no longer means anything,

so we ask instead:

"how many seconds?"

I’m most happy 

when I make things full

of whimsy, play, wonder, 

and perhaps in a momentary pause

allow us to think about our place in the world

I never run out of weird 

and crazy ideas 

and I make them into reality

one at a time
