Role: Lead Exhibition Designer

In 2018, as Lead Exhibition Designer at Tsinghua University Institute of Architectural Design, I headed the spatial design and build for a prominent venue at Beijing Design Week. This entailed a year-long comprehensive design development, from ideation to full-scale mockup tests. I subsequently managed a rapid construction cycle, consisting of a three-day setup in collaboration with 40+ stakeholders, a week-long run estimating 50k visitors, and a two-day de-installation.

The design cleverly repurposed ubiquitous construction scaffolding, a staple in China's rapidly urbanizing landscape, presenting it within an unexpected gallery context. Reflecting the venue's focus on traditional Chinese craft, it mirrored the classical Chinese arcade's architecture. A path of intertwined fabric wove through the 24 traditional lunar calendar solar terms, each marked by a pavilion that subtly shifts in color, symbolizing their unique celebrations.
